LET US PRAY FOR

Our Ministers
Bless the men and women You have chosen to serve You in this community, Lord. We thank You for their diligence and enthusiasm, and for their faithfulness in service. You have called them and equipped them with a desire to serve the people You have put in their charge. May they be blessed as they go about their duties, day by day. Inspire them by Your Holy Spirit as they sit at Your feet, wanting to receive the message You want Your people to hear. Help them to prepare and deliver Your Word to the folk of this community Lord. Bless, help and protect them in all their works for You!

Church
Thank You for this place where we can gather to worship and honour You, Lord God. You have established this community, and as they come together, week by week we pray for Your loving touch upon them as they worship and praise Your Holy name. You have called us to have fellowship and worship here, Lord, and we pray that we may always have open doors to welcome all comers into Your House. May this place be called a House of Prayer, built for men, women and children to gather to worship and praise Almighty God. Bless us Lord, as we gather here in Your Name!

Church Leaders
Thank You for each person who has accepted a position of leadership within the church, Lord. We pray for Your leading and teaching for them as they seek to serve You. There are many areas of ministry Lord, and we thank You for the enthusiasm of these men and women to serve You. Bless the teachers of the young children and youth, and the Bible Study leaders, as well as those involved in worship and assisting in the church administration. Bless all who lead!

South Africa
Lord, bless our land, South Africa, and all her people. May we be faithful to Your call to always serve You with honour. We pray for those in Government and Local Administration that they may serve with honour and integrity. We pray for our farmers that the crops they grow may come to fullness for harvest. Bless all in the Medical Field, who help so many who are in need due to ill health. Bless all our people Lord, and make provision for the poor and needy, we pray. Bless us, Lord, as we live as Your own. Thank You!

The Needy
Bless all who are facing illness or difficulty Lord, and we thank You for the doctors and nurses who provide help for them in their time of need. May Your loving presence bring hope and support to these needy people. Thank You, Lord!!

Monday 23 rd October Luke 17 : 20 - 37
The coming of the Kingdom! We are told that the coming of the Kingdom will be like the time leading up to the great flood. People are being warned but they pay no heed, but carry on in their common practises. The world as we know it today is full of people who pay no heed to the words of Christ regarding the Second Coming. They carry on as though there is no tomorrow. There are still wars and rumours of wars. There is enmity between nations and killing of men and women because of their belief in Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. God's people are facing hardship and suffering. The time is coming fast. We cannot ignore the warnings. Turn to the Lord while there is still time. Yield to Him, listen to Him and do as God requires. Follow the Lord – today! The time is short. Look to the Lord of all and follow Him, He is our Saviour!

Tuesday 24 th October Habakkuk 3 : 17 - 19
Faith and trust! In life we face many trials and difficulties and on occasion our faith becomes dim. But God is always faithful and calls upon us to trust in His abiding love and care. No matter what we have to face God is ever near, encouraging us to carry on in faith. This passage is particularly comforting for, in all of our lives, there are times of hardship and lack of supply. But our deep seated faith and trust in God Almighty will carry us through to brighter mornings. Good Friday was the end of Christ's life on earth and it was thought to be the end of all His promises. Yet Sunday came and Jesus appeared as the Risen Christ. He is with us still, day by day, encouraging us to walk in faith. God's promise of a Saviour is true. Jesus Christ, Son of God, died to save our souls. Yet He is risen to live now for all Eternity in the Kingdom of God Almighty!

Wednesday 25 th October John 17 : 23
One with the Lord! We come, dear Jesus, seeking You in our great love, longing to hear the words You want us to know. You call us to read the passage, of Your prayer to our Father before You had to face the Cross. The words You speak, Lord, tell us that we are one! One with You, as You are One with our Father God. There is a reason for this journey, Lord, so that we can live, eternally connected to You, Jesus, and can show the world the importance of this loving relationship. We know Lord God that You sent Jesus to earth to show us the way back into the loving relationship that You had planned at the beginning of time. We know Your love, Lord God, and thank You that You care for us and sustain us in that love. We accept the gift of Jesus, who came that we may be one with Him and Yourself, God Almighty. Thank You for Your gift of Jesus!

Thursday 26 th October Matthew 17 : 14 - 20
Have you enough faith? Jesus prayed for the young boy who had an epileptic fit and immediately he was cured. When the disciples asked Jesus why they could not do this He answered, "Because you haven't enough faith!" We often have situations that we encounter and have prayed fervently for healing, yet it does not happen. Then we go to God, and ask, "Why could our prayers not achieve the healing?" His answer comes, "If you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to the hill 'Go from here to there' and it will go. You could do anything!" All we can say to our Lord is, "I believe, help Thou my unbelief! May my faith and trust grow that I may not falter in my belief." We need more faith! Jesus says, "Ask and you shall receive."

Friday 27 th October 1 Peter 1 : 13 - 25
Holy Living! God calls us to be holy, just as our Lord is holy. We need to keep our minds on Him and not allow unholy thinking to take over. We must be obedient to the call God has placed on our lives and be ready to stand firm against any attack by the evil one. For satan will do all he can to destroy our faith in our Lord, and comes against us in insidious ways. He tells us that we are not worthy and that our behaviour is not wrong, even though Christ tell us not to do anything that grieves our Lord. We need to stand firm and proclaim Jesus as Lord of our lives, keeping ourselves pure and holy before Him. Have reverence for the God of all – our beloved Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. God is the God of your heart and soul. Be faithful to Him and holy in all your living!

Saturday 28 th October John 21 : 15 - 17
Relationships! We all have relationships with others. Most are good, some not so good, and others are exceptional. The whole of our life consists of relationships. This is true of our relationship with our Lord and our God. When we have done something that is contrary to God's law, the relationship with Him is harmed. But when we come humbly before Him offering ourselves wholly into His will our relationship grows and strengthens. We need to be faithful to Him in thought, word and deed, and grow in the loving relationship that He wants with us. Jesus asks us, "Do you love Me, more than these others?" How do we answer Him? Can we honestly day that He is the most important person in our lives? Pray that it is so!

Sunday 29 th October
Praise the Lord, O my soul, let all that is within me, praise His Holy Name! Blessed is the Lord God Almighty. Holy is He and worthy of all the praise we can offer. You are Lord, indeed, worthy and holy in every way. We come Lord, on bended knee because we love You, and wish to honour You with our lives. Just as we are, Lore, weak and helpless before Your Majesty and Might we come to praise You, to lift You high and honour Your Holy Name. We join with the angels in heaven to praise You, singing Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty. God Almighty – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we thank You for taking care of us. We are weak, Lord, but You are our strength, Your loving care enables us to live each day giving You honour because we love You. We offer our worship Lord, in this most holy place, and raise our voices to worship in song. Blessed is Your Name, O Lord. We honour You, we love You, and we praise You. Hallelieuia!

Praising God

The final stepping stone I want to mention is joyous, hilarious, foot-stomping celebration. We clap, laugh, shout, sing, and dance. Celebration is best done in community, but even when we are alone we are never alone, for we are joining the jubilee chant of angels and archangels and living creatures about which we can only guess. Like Miriam we dance and sing to the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously, the horse and rider thrown into the sea (Exodus 15). Like Mary our soul magnifies the Lord and our spirit rejoices in God our Saviour. (Luke 1)
