On with it then, and finish the job! Be as eager to finish it as you were to plan it, and do it with what you now have.       2 Corinthians 8: 11

Our Ministers

Lord, we are grateful for the men and women You have called to be ministers of the Word, and to bring Your message to many. We ask that You support and guide each one in the way You want them to go, and to encourage them as they study and learn all that You require. Bless each one who works so hard to bring others to know of You and to dedicate themselves to You. Thank You for all the hard work and time they spend ensuring Your message of love is brought to many.

Lord, we thank You for the establishment of this church. When we gather together to worship and honour You, and to hear the message prepared, we are aware of Your closeness and guidance of us all. You have called us to gather together in Your Name, and to be ready to speak to others of Your Grace, Mercy and Love. Bless all who come and get involved in the activities that are offered.

Church Leaders

Thank You for every person who has stepped forward to lead in some way in the church. There are many areas where people can gather together and the one who leads has been chosen by You to help others grow in their faith and trust in Your Almighty grace and truth. Bless each leader, and grow them in that area of activity that You have chosen them to serve.

South Africa

Bless the people of South Africa, Lord. Guide them in Your will and way and help them in their daily challenges. We pray for the leaders of our land, that they may serve with dedication and honesty, seeking the best for the people of our land. We pray for our citizens, all across our land, as well as the farmers who work so diligently to supply the food that we all require.

The Needy

There are many in need this day, O Lord, and we name them before You now, praying that in Your mercy and love you will bless, help and heal them. Thank You for Your loving care, O Lord, our God!

Monday 30th September               Psalm 139: 1 - 12

God knows!   No matter how we feel – joyful, filled with peace, happy, sad, worried, full of concern, Jesus knows. The feelings we have come from God, for He created us in His perfect image. So we know that when we are sad, or concerned about some issue, God understands. He wants the best for us and we find that if we walk daily by His side we will not be affected by all the negativity in the world. Our faith and trust is in Him. He guides us every day, putting thoughts in our minds that cause us to take a certain decision or change the way we were thinking. If we listen to God’s still, small voice to us and heed it, we cannot go wrong. Listen to the Lord. Seek His wise counsel day by day and we can go forward in confidence. God is in control. He knows all and rules the world with wisdom, knowledge and love. Give thanks to the Lord!

Tuesday 1st October                 John 17: 1 - 15

Jesus prays for us!Even in His darkest hour Jesus was more concerned over praying for us, His followers, than for Himself. His whole focus was on pleading with God on our behalf. His power and might was being used to protect us, His followers. He pleaded with His Father for our safety, and protection from the evil one. Jesus was not concerned for self, but for all of His followers, those there with Him, and those yet to be born. We are covered by His prayers. He is always watching out for us and wanting to help us to stay faithful to God and Himself. He sees all that we have to go through and prays constantly for our well-being. As we turn to Jesus in our hour of need He will be sure to hear our prayers and come to help us. Jesus is ever watchful, seeing what His faithful followers are going through, and comes to stand alongside to support and encourage us. Give thanks!

Wednesday 2nd October          Ephesians 5: 1 - 20

Live in the Light! We all need to live in the light. We know the frustration of having no light due to power outage, and we ensure we have candles and torches to help us till power is restored. Light is necessary for life. The light and warmth of the sun helps us each day. Most important is the light of God’s Son. He sent Jesus to be ‘light’ to the world. He came to show us truth and the right way to live. The light of God shines upon us and exposes any darkness in us. God wants Jesus to live in our hearts and banish any darkness of sin and shame. God can only exist in light! He wants us to be pure and to accept His Son as the Light that guides us. His Light brings goodness, purity, righteousness and truth. Let us all aspire to be light for our Lord. Shine with purity and love and share His light with others. Live in the Light of God!

Thursday 3rd October             Revelation 4: 1 - 11

Heaven! We, who follow Jesus as our Lord and Saviour are given a wonderful promise. We will be with Him eternally in Heaven, in the company of God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We claim this promise and look forward to the day of meeting. Yet we don’t really know what Heaven is like, and will only find out fully on the day of our meeting with our Lord. Yet we have a description of heaven which thrills our souls. We read in this chapter of Revelation a description of Heaven and of worship there. Heaven is a glorious place where we will be welcomed before our God, who sits in His Throne and is surrounded by elders and other beings. The Glory of the Throne Room is there for all to see. We will be amazed and will join with other worshippers before our Lord and our God. Praise to our loving Lord! May He reign forever! Blessed is the Lord of Heaven and Earth. Hallelujah!

Friday 4th October           Psalm 139: 13 - 16

God knows us!  God knows every part of our lives. He knew us when we were being formed in our mother’s womb. He knew whether we would be male or female, strong or weak, have long life or go to Him early. He has our life planned before even one day begins. What happens to us is no mistake. His plans are perfect in every way. When we are weak, He is strong. When we fail, He is there to pick us up and put us on the right path once more. God knows us through and through. Nothing that we think, say, or do surprises Him. We live because He lives and takes care of us. Blessed is the Lord God Almighty. He cares for us. He longs for a loving relationship with each one of us. He is our Lord, our saviour, our King. Give thanks and praise to our God, who cares for us in the finest detail. Thank You, Lord!

Saturday 5th October              1 John 3: 11 - 16

Love one another!   God is love and because of Him we too can live in love. This is the most important commandment. Jesus said, “Love one another as I have loved you!” Such love in us cannot be kept quiet. We want to share it with everyone. Love affects our attitude. With love in our hearts we cannot be nasty to others. This love enables us to be a caring and sharing person. It causes us to act in a positive way. Our character changes from being selfish to being extravagant in our giving, of ourselves, our love and our possessions. We treat all people with respect and love. God’s love in us enables us to follow Jesus’ example of loving care – even to the beggar and the cripple. Pray that we can do what God wants us to do - share love with all people. What a loving God we have. Praise and thanks to Him for His example to us!

Sunday 6th October

Thank You Lord, for Your loving kindness and guidance each day. As we seek You in the morning hours we thank You that You meet with us, and get us ready to face the day in Your loving care. Guide us in the things we do, that we may always bring honour to Your name. As we meet with others may our attitude be happy and helpful, ready to show loving kindness on every occasion. We ask that we acknowledge Your help every day, and seek You to worship and praise Your Holy Name. We are so grateful Lord, for Your loving kindness and Your help in the struggles of life. You take care of us and help us in so many ways. Thank You! Bless us Lord, as we come to worship and honour You with our praises and our prayers. We are Yours O Lord, and are thankful for Your loving touch guiding us throughout life. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Thank You, Lord!
