Every one of us, then, will have to give an account of ourselves to God. Romans 14: 12

Our Ministers

Thank You, O Lord our God, for the men and women You have chosen to bring Your Word to members of this congregation. They spend many hours reading and researching in preparation of the message to bring to the members of this church. We give You thanks and praise for the faithfulness of Your ministers, and their dedication to You in every way. Bless those You have appointed to be Your spokesperson in this church and all those who support and encourage him. Thank You that they answered Your call to serve You here. Bless all who minister to us, Lord.

We gather together as Your people in this place, Lord. You encourage us to get involved in the activities offered, and we offer our service, where it can be used to bring You glory. Thank You for these buildings, and all those who serve here in the positions You have appointed them to. Bless this congregation, Lord, who gather together Sunday by Sunday to sing praise and to worship You. Thank You for the encouragement that is offered to one another in Jesus’ Name

Church Leaders

There are men and women whom You have called to serve in the church, Lord. We thank You for each one and the knowledge and enthusiasm You have placed in them, and called them to teach, counsel, preach and serve You to promote Your Name amongst many people. Thank You for the encouragement and support that they give so willingly, and for their faithfulness in the position that they serve.

South Africa

Lord, we thank You for our land and people. You have called us to serve You in many different ways, and we rejoice to be able to do so amongst people who give You honour and praise. We thank You that our elections were free and fair, and we pray now for the elected folk to honour the positions that they now have. May they serve the people of our land with honour, doing the best they can in the positions of power that they have been appointed to. God, bless our land and people, and guide us forward as one people under Your leadership, O Lord. We pray for peace and harmony all across our land, for respect for one another and strong, fair leadership for our government.

The Needy

Lord, may Your healing help rest upon those we name before You, asking for Your intervention in their circumstances. They are facing difficult times Lord, and we pray for strength to endure and that healing may come quickly.

 Monday 3rd June               Romans 4: 4 - 6

One with the Lord!   Lord Jesus Christ is the One who is above all others! Through Him we know the One True God, our Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and Earth, and Keeper of our souls. Through Jesus we come to the one true faith, and are baptized once into the family of God. God, our Father, is Lord of all, who works through all and is in all. Not one thing was created without Him. He calls us His own and as His children we rejoice to call Him Father and Lord. God, our Father, Jesus, our Lord and Holy Spirit are Lord of al – One God, world without end. How blessed we are to be united to our loving, living Lord, who died that we might gain Eternal Life. Praise to the Lord our God who joins us to His Son, Jesus Christ, to be one with Him and accepted as His sons and daughters. Praise the Lord of all!

Tuesday 4th June                 Philippians 4: 4 - 8

Joy!Joy is an emotion that is experienced in our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. He treats us in a gentle, loving way and encourages us in our faith walk. We can come to our Saviour with all our questions, and He will patiently answer us. He tells us to be thankful at all times, with our hearts open before God, ready to receive whatever He wants to reveal to us. We can be joyful before our Lord, for His example is one we can easily follow. Jesus is at peace with Himself and the world around, and this peacefulness rubs off into His disciples. It is the Peace of God which is far above our experience of peace that keeps us safe in union with Jesus Christ. Let your days be filled with joy and your nights with deep, peaceful sleep. Do whatever the Lord requires. Be faithful in thought, word and deed for Him. Bless the Lord, my soul! Forget not all His promises!

Wednesday 5th June          Philippians 4: 13

In all conditions! This verse does not say we will have strength sometimes, or in part, or only a little. We are promised strength in ALL conditions, by the peace that Jesus gives us. No matter what you have to face, perhaps illness of a loved one, or troubles in your life, or the loss of a close friend, or sickness. No matter what the struggle Christ is stronger and will enable us to come through victoriously. Life often throws a curved ball and catches us unaware, but God is never surprised and is ready to step in and thwart the devil, and strengthen us once more. Have absolute faith and trust in our Lord, Jesus Christ, for His presence is walkways near and he gives us the strength to face the conditions, and come through victorious. The power of Christ is given to us when we have to face trials and difficulties. Trust in the faithfulness of our Lord and Saviour.

Thursday 6th June             Galatians 5: 16 - 18

Let the Spirit guide! Our human nature can often lead us astray. We give in to thoughts that draw us into situations that are not good for us. Our human nature is full of desires and strong feelings, and often we go contrary to what God wants for us. We need to control our natural desires, doe God desires that we live by His Spirit, who will guide us in the way we should go. As we yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit we will turn our back on those issues that lead us away from the pure life style that God plans for us. We listen for the still, small voice of God and follow His way – not our own. Let the Spirit guide your life. He will draw you closer to our Lord and our God and we will desire to conform to God’s will and not the false gods that seek to control us. We give thanks and praise to God Almighty and the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives!

Friday 7th June             2 Corinthians 3 : 17 - 18

Freedom!Where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom!” Only through our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ can we know the freedom that the Holy Spirit brings. We have the confidence to speak the Lord’s name at any time, to any person, and not feel threatened. The love of the Lord fills our hearts and souls and we have the freedom to extend that love to all we meet and interact with. God has removed any tension within us and we can now live fully content in the truth that god goes before us every minute of every day. Truly we are blessed to be called children of the Most High God, brothers and sisters to His Son, Jesus. We are blessed indeed to know that God guides our lives to the fulfilment of His plans for us. We serve a loving God. Praise God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Praise them forever more!

Saturday 8th June              Acts 2: 1 - 4

The coming of the Holy Spirit!God’s plans were coming to fulfilment. Jesus had promised, before His death, that a gift would come, that god had pre-ordained. This was to be no ordinary gift, but one that would bring confirmation of Jesus being the Son and God; and bring power and love to all believers. A further gift was to be the ability to pronounce the Word of God to all people. This gift was being bestowed as the Holy Spirit, who would live in the hearts of people who love Jesus, and give then extra-ordinary powers. The disciples received this gift and were able to speak openly about our Lord in many different languages. We, toady, are in the same position as the early disciples. We wait with eagerness for the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us in our lives as Christ’s own and be given the ability to pronounce the Good News to many. Give thanks to God for His favour, and the gift of the Holy Spirit!

Sunday 9th June

Bless the Lord. Praise His holy name. We come Lord, to sit at Your feet and listen to Your wise words to us. We honour You, O Lord, and thank You that You are so close, teaching and guiding us throughout our lives. We live as Your own Lord, wanting to serve as You have called us. There are many diverse ministries Lord, and You call us to the one that is most suited to our personalities and our faith. You teach us Lord, and call us to serve to the best of our abilities. We live to honour You, O Lord, and we thank You that Your loving call has evoked a response from our hearts. We belong to You, O Lord, and want to grow to know You in a deeper way. We also desire to serve You. You have a specific task for us to do, Reveal it Lord, we pray, and help us to begin and to carry on in that service – to Your glory and honour. We follow You, O Lord, and desire to lift Your name high amongst all people. Blessed is Your Name. You are Holy, indeed, and Your guidance, help and love lead us ever forward to the day of meeting. Bless the Lord! Praise His Holy Name! We worship and honour You, O Lord, our God. Hallelujah!
