THOSE WHO HAVE REVERENCE FOR THE LORD WILL LEARN FROM HIM THE PATH THEY SHOULD FOLLOW. Psalm 25: 12

My grace is all you need, for My power is greatest when you are weak. 2 Corinthians 12: 9

LET US PRAY FOR

Our Ministers

Thank You Lord, for the time and effort that is given to prepare the message to bring to Your people. Much time and prayer is spent by our leader to ensure that all that he will preach is in line with what You want Your people to hear. Many long hours are spent in reading, studying and praying as preparation for the Sunday sermon. Bless the words studied, and the hours spent in prayer seeking Your leading for our minister. Bless him and his family, Lord, and continue to guide him in the duties he holds and performs here in our church. Bless those who study and lead many congregations across our land. Thank You, Lord!

Church

Lord it is an honor to be able to join together with others who love You and sing and worship in Your Name. You have gathered us together as Your people, and we rejoice in this place You have given us to use to honor You. We thank You that as we gather together we are like minded in our worship of You, our Lord and our God. Bless us Lord, in this place where we gather as Your own.   This is Your church, Lord, and we bring our love and honor to You here.

Church Leaders

There are many men and women who have qualities that can be used in Your service, Lord. You call them to lead a particular area of service, and they willingly step forward to teach and instruct others. They help the church to grow in knowledge and understanding of Your Word and Your Ways, O Lord. We thank You for everyone who is willing to lead in some way, to encourage others to grow in their relationship with You, through study and prayer. Bless all our leaders, Lord, we pray.

South Africa

Lord, we pray, not only for South Africa, but for the Southern Africa countries that were impacted by the recent Cyclone. Much damage has been done, and many are facing dire circumstances, due to flooding and destruction of buildings and housing and infrastructure. We pray for all those who are suffering at this time, and that many who can help are willing to give generously to help those who are suffering. We pray for those who have lost their lives, Lord. Bless those who are suffering so much at this time. May Your hand of blessings and comfort be upon them all. Thank You, Lord!

The Needy

There are many who are facing difficulties this day, Lord, and we place our loved ones in Your hands. Take care of them, Lord, we pray, as they face illness or suffering. We thank You for Your tender, loving care of us all! Thank You!

Monday 1st April               Galatians 2: 20

Live by faith!   Who do you have faith in? Is it your mother or father, or one of your siblings? Do you have faith in a special friend or relative. Paul writes that he has faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who loved him and gave His life for him. Have we thought deeply about our faith and trust in Jesus, our Lord? Have we come to the point where we cannot imagine life without Jesus helping and guiding us? Can we truly say that we trust Jesus with every iota of our being? We need to remember that He died for me and for you, as well as for Paul. His love for all people is true, fully for everyone. He gave His life for you and me, how can we reject such love? Give thanks for His great love by living faithfully as His servant. Love as He desires and be ready to speak out when anyone asks you about your faith. “I no longer live, but Christ is me!” Thank You Lord for Your great love!

Tuesday 2nd April               1 John 3: 11 - 18

Love one another! The love of the Lord shows up in various ways in different people. Some are very practical and can help others in fixing broken implements. Others have a calling to help people who have no transport and offer to drive them where they want to go. Yet others are housebound and spend their time before the Lord in prayer for those in need. There are many ways to express the love of God in our lives and we should actively seek what God wants us to pursue. Our Lord wants us to have loving hearts and will lay on us the activity that He wants us to pursue. He fills our hearts with generosity, or a willingness to be helpful in a particular field, or assisting a family in need, or working in the church. Our lives should be guided by the Lord’s goodness and we must show our love for Him in practical ways. Let your love for God be true love, full and active in every way. Rejoice that God has given you expression for your love for Him!

Wednesday 3rd April          Acts 2: 38 - 39

God’s gift!Everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, who turns from their former way of living and is baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ is given wonderful promises. Your sins will be forgiven and you will receive God’s gift of the Holy Spirit, who will remain with you forever. This is the promise that is made to all who God calls to Himself. You have chosen to follow Jesus Christ from now on. He will guide and help you in all those areas that previously followed other gods. There is only One God – our Father Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ, who gave up His life for us, so that we might gain Eternal Life. Once you have met and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour you belong to Him for all Eternity. His love for you is full and complete and He will always be with you. Call upon the Lord of all. He hears your prayers and answers you. Praise God for the gift of the Holy Spirit, with us for all Eternity.

Thursday 4th April             1 John 5: 13 - 21

Have courage! We can have courage in life, for no matter what we have to face we have One who watches over us and cares for us! He hears us when we cry for help. He listens when we seek His advice and gives us the answers we need. We know that we belong to Him, the Lord of All – God Almighty. He has given us His Son to be our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who left heaven to dwell amongst us and who gave up His life for our salvation. We do not deserve such a good, loving God who cares for us with unending love. In union with Him we learn how to be loving towards all others, just as He is loving to us. We come to worship and praise Him, God Almighty and Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. He accepts our praise offering and promises to help and guide us every day of our lives. With such a God taking care of us what have we to fear? Nothing! We have courage as children of our Father, God Almighty!

Friday 5th April             Mark 4: 13 - 20

Bear good fruit! The parable about the Sower of the Seed is well known to us, but how can we apply it to our lives? What kind of soil are we? Are we rich and friable, full of nutrition, ready to receive the seed of God’s love and let it grow to its full potential? Or are we fickle, with not much depth, so that the seed cannot root deeply in us and grow to produce fruit? As we allow God to examine our lives and fruitfulness He will judge whether we can allow the seed to grow and multiply in us and so bear fruit of His Word to many others. It is a privilege to receive the seed of God’s Word. We need to cherish what has been sown into our hearts, and by prayer, reading of the Word and allowing God to dwell in our hearts, we will reach our full potential. Be eager to be fertile soil to receive God’s Word and to multiply and feed many others with His loving kindness. Bear good fruit!

Saturday 6th April              Jonah 2: 1 - 10

Disobedience!Jonah’s disobedience to God had dire consequences. He almost lost his life because he defied God. But our all-knowing God knew where Jonah was and what he was trying to do. From deep inside the large fish he cried out to God and God answered him. Jonah was at the point of death when God ordered the fish to spew Jonah up on the beach. Jonah listened to God’s instructions and went in obedience to Nineveh to bring God’s message. Today we must realize that defying God’s plans for our lives will never bring us contentment. God is totally in control and if He has told you what He wants from you don’t defy the God of all. As you come into line with God’s plans you will find joy and satisfaction. God wants to bless you, not punish you. Follow the Lord’s request and do what He has told you to do!

Sunday 7th April

Bless the Lord, o my soul! Let all that is within me, praise His Holy Name. Thank You Lord, for Your loving care and protection over this last week. There are many who have faced extremely difficult times, but they have been aware of Your closeness, and give You praise and thanks for Your loving kindness. We worship and honour You Lord, and thank You that You watch over us day by day, saving us from some disaster that we are not even aware of. Your protection covers us Lord, and we praise and thank You for that loving care. As we join together in service, Lord, we raise our voices in hymns and songs of praise and adoration. You are our Lord and our God, and we honour You through raising our hearts and hands before You. Blessed is the Lord God Almighty – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We love You Lord, and willingly serve as You desire. Blessed be the Lord. Holy is He and worthy of all our praise. Hallelujah!
